16 Tenses (Past Future Tense)

1. Simple Past Future Tense

 => menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan dilakukan pada waktu lampau.

Formula : S + should/would + V1 + C

Example :   (+)  He would steal our book the week before.

                 (-)  He would not steal our book the week before.

                 (?)  would he steal our book the week before?

Passive Formula : O + should/would + be + V3 + by + S + C

Example : (Active) He would explain the incident the week before.

               (Passive) The incident would be explained by him the week before.

2. Past Future Continuous Tense

=> menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan sedang terjadi waktu lampau.

Formula : S + should/would + be + V.ing + C

Example :   (+)  I should be helping him last week.

                 (-)  I shouldn't be helping him last week.

                 (?)  should I be helping him last week?

Passive Formula : O + would/should + be + being + V3 + by + S + C

Example : (Active) We would be sweeping the class.

               (Passive) The class would be being swept by us.

3. Past Future Perfect Tense

 => menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan terjadi pada waktu lampau.

Formula : S + should/would + have  + V3 + C

Example :   (+)  They would have helped me if they had not met you.

                 (-)  They wouldn't have helped me if they had not met you.

                 (?)  would they have helped me if they had not met you?

Passive Formula : O + should/would + have + been + V3 + by + S + C

Example : (Active) You would have found them if I had given news.

              (Passive) They would have been found by you if I had given news.

4. Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense

 => menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan sedang berlangsung pada waktu lampau.

Formula : S + should/would + have + been + V.ing + C

Example :
(+) He would have been studying English for five months by march last year.

 (-) He wouldn't have been studying English for five months by march last year.

 (?) would he have been studying English for five months by march last year?

Passive Formula : O + would/should + have + been + V3 + by + S + C

Example : (Active) Tomo would have been bringing a magazine.

               (Passive) Magazine would have been brought by Tomo.
